Can you contribute to an RRSP after age 65?
Yes. There is no age limit of 65 to contribute to an RRSP.
An individual can continue to contribute until December 31st of the year they reach 71
years, provided they have unused contribution rights. These rights come from
generally from income earned in previous years.
After age 71, new contributions are no longer permitted, except in the case of a
Spouse's RRSP contribution, if the spouse is under 71 years of age.
